The Muppet Show
The Muppet Show was something I looked forward to every week as a kid. Yes, Dukes of Hazard was good but that show lacked the realism, the character development, and the sarcasm that was standard with every episode of the muppets. A few of my favorite muppets include (of course) Beaker, Scooter, Gonzo,
the Swedish Chef, and a variety of muppets whatnots. I never knew the term for these extra muppets until today. I happen to stumble upon muppetcentral.com Wow. I could spend hours there. What I found particularly fascinating was the Whatnot Workshop. You can actually design (with some limitations) your own muppet. How cool is that?
I’m not going to buy this muppet but it does make a cool free avatar. If you’ve ever wanted to create your own avatar with a muppets theme here’s how I did it. (There may be another way using MS paint or equivalent.) I took a screen shot of the web page where I designed my whatnot. I held down the Control key and pressed the print screen key (above backspace) then pasted the image in photoshop. I trimmed the picture and saved it. Now I have a muppet whatnot designed by me. It’s like watching the Muppet Movie, only better. Actually I like the Muppets Christmas Carol better. Great muppets whatnots in that movie.
Hey Steve. I saw this and had to look. What a great idea. I love the Muppets! Of course, my favorite Muppet is Kermit, and then Miss Piggy and then the two hecklers and Beaker. I guess I like all of them. ANIMAL!!
There’s just something about Beaker that is so . . . Maybe there is no word for him. He doesn’t talk much but if you listen carefully he says some awesome things. And yes, Animal is a legend.
Hey Steve,
LOVE your new profile picture! Now I see where it came from! My favorite had to be Oscar the Grouch! My sister’s favorite was Cookie Monster. It’s funny, b/c every time I see the two, it reminds me of the days when my sister and I were little scrappy brats fighting all the time! Random thought…sorry!
Anyway, hope all is well with you!
